Corporate Partner JEMEC sponsors Les Amis' Social Club 2024

Feb 09, 2024

As an organisation, Les Amis is and does so much more than care. In addition to its three main service lines, Les Amis also offers a Social Club for its residents and service-users, with 87 events held in 2023 (see video below)

In 2022, the Social Club began as a staff-led initiative to reconnect and restore relationships between Les Amis' residential homes and service-users, lost temporarily during the pandemic. Today, thanks to lead organisers and Registered Managers Katie Foley (left) and Annette Burnouf (right), the club continues to foster Les Amis' sense of community and 'found family', benefiting the wellbeing of all who attend including staff. Its monthly activities include bingo nights; arts and crafts;, swimming club; and sing sign and dance sessions - to name a few.

Thank you to Charles Tennant (centre) and the team at JEMEC for choosing to sponsor Les Amis' Social Club this year, enabling Katie and Annette to continue arranging fun social activities for Les Amis' residents and service-users - just one of the many life-enhancing 'extras' that Les Amis aims to deliver in its mission to empower Islanders with learning disabilities and associated medical conditions.

If your organisation is interested in supporting similar initiatives at Les Amis and becoming a Corporate Partner, like JEMEC, please email Head of Charitable Income & Partnerships, Yenni Kusumo: pr.fundraising@lesamis.org.je
