The LLOYDS TSB FOUNDATION FOR THE CHANNEL ISLANDS has generously supported LES AMIS for over a decade. Projects have included building work, provision of furniture, staff training and a new day service for Les Amis residents.

Without the support of the foundation many of the projects would not have taken place and our services could not have developed. Every project has had either a direct or indirect affect on the resident's lives.

Our day service, COGS, launched in August 1999 had an immediate affect on the choices that Les Amis residents could make each day. Funding the launch of the Les Amis NVQ staff training programme indirectly affected the life styles of the residents.

Listed are some of the projects that Les Amis and the Lloyds TSB Foundation for the Channel Islands have worked together on since 1990:

• February 1990: £5,000 - towards the cost of fitting out bedrooms at Les Amis following a major refurbishment of the old hostel.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
• July 1995: £3,100 - towards the start up costs for establishing Les Amis as an NVQ accredited training centre in care.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
• December 1996: £20,000 - towards the cost of completely furnishing a new group home for 5 Les Amis residents.
